Dieblast Crystal, Profile Deflashing Compounds

High Performance Cryogenic Shotblast Compounds

Developed specifically for the cryogenic deflashing of rubber mouldings DIEBLAST CRYSTAL and DIEBLAST PENTA
PRIME are produced from 100% crosslinked polycarbonate resins.

The unique polymer structure of DIEBLAST compounds offers significant technical and commercial advantages over
standard polycarbonate resin used in cryogenic deflashing systems.

Reduced Media Consumption

At sub zero temperatures polycarbonate resin becomes brittle and the surface of the granulate erodes due to impact stresses
within the blasting cycle.

This erosion or breakdown rate increases as the temperature is lowered until the granulate fractures on impact. Standard
polycarbonate resins disintegrate @ - 80ºC. While DIEBLAST compounds retain their structure and integrity throughout
the cryogenic cycle withstanding temperatures to -140ºC.

graph

DIEBLAST CRYSTAL 17% REDUCTION IN BREAKDOWN RATE @ -80ºC

DIEBLAST PENTA PRIME 23% REDUCTION IN BREAKDOWN RATE @ - 120ºC

With DIEBLAST compounds retaining their size, shape and integrity longer, greater efficiencies within the blasting process
are achieved.

The higher performance and quality of DIEBLAST compounds offer substantial cost reductions by lower media
Consumption, shorter blast cycle times and reduced liquid nitrogen consumption.

Each micro pellet of DIEBLAST contains anti-static agents and will continue to perform as an efficient cryogenic blast
media long after standard polycarbonate systems have been reduced to dust.

DIEBLAST cryogenic systems is a registered trade mark of Profile Deflashing Compounds Ltd. DIEBLAST products are covered by worldwide intellectual property rights.

DIEBLAST Silicon and DIEBLAST cube are subject to international patent application.
