Established in 1992 Profile Deflashing Compounds Ltd. was initially formed as a research and development facility in the area of synthetic monofilaments and fibre reinforcements for the plastics and rubber industry.

The knowledge and experience gained in polymer engineering quickly found a number of applications in the field of shotblasting where “non abrasive” micro-pellets act as a blast media in the cleaning/deflashing of delicate substrates.

Under the brand name DIEBLAST Systems, these compounds are now used world wide in a range of diverse applications from the cleaning of Micro-Chips in the electronics industry to the cryogenic deflashing of precision mouldings at -120°C. Polymer based shotblast compounds can also incorporate abrasive particles i.e. glass bead, aluminum oxides etc, when more aggressive results are required.

In addition to a wide range of standard products the company has the capacity to develop blasting media to meet specific application requirements.
